ENVIRONMENTAL POLICY
The Board of Directors and all Employees of John W Hannay &Co Limited are committed to the objective that all activities carried out by the Company have an absolute minimum impact on the Environment. It is with this stated aim that the following Environmental Policy has been developed. * All employees involved in the collection, transfer, recycling and disposal of waste shall endeavour to carry out their duties in such a manner that has the minimum adverse effect on the environment or human health. * Carry out the Company’s activities in such a manner that there is minimum interference to the environment and that no material or lasting damage results in carrying out these activities. * Maximise the recovery of materials through reclamation and recycling of waste thereby conserving valuable resources. * Promote and continually improve the company’s environmental performance and quality of service and continually strive to operate to the possible standard. * Operate the company’s plant and equipment as efficiently as possible, ensuring they are manufactured and constructed to the highest possible standard. * To enhance and retain customer confidence we shall implement and maintain an effective Environmental Management System throughout our many and varied operations which will meet the requirements of ISO 14001 and all other legislative and regulatory requirements relating to our activities. * Our intention is to follow up this statement with a range of environmental awareness training programmes that will involve all employees. * Our environmental objectives shall be documented and made available on request to all interested parties including the public. |
